Texas Trial And Appellate Expert
I am Daniel Lanfear. I have practiced as a trial attorney in San Antonio for over 30 years and became a certified trial specialist in 2002. At The Lanfear Law Firm, P.C., I help clients reach practical solutions to their legal conflicts through negotiation, trial or appeal.
Certified In Civil Trial Law By
The Texas Board Of Legal Certification
Only a small minority of lawyers in Texas are board certified in civil trial law. To become certified, I had to demonstrate significant legal and trial experience, complete 60 hours of legal education in civil trial law, and take a six-hour, comprehensive examination. I also had to present references from independent judges and other attorneys familiar with my work as a trial lawyer. Board-certified lawyers in Texas must recertify every five years.

Every case must be approached strategically, with an early risk analysis and a custom plan for achieving the client’s specific goals. I prepare every case as rigorously as if it were about to go to trial. This level of preparation gives me not just trial-readiness but also leverage in negotiations.
